DU admission: Exam to be held in person instead of online

Dhaka (Oct 20, 2020): Dhaka University (DU) today reached a decision to hold the first year admission test in person instead of online examination, following the previous system.

The DU authority also decided to cut the admission test marks 100 instead of the previous 200 and the admission test will be taken outside Dhaka considering the pandemic of Covid-19.

The decision was taken at the dean committee meeting of the university this noon, according to a source of the meeting.

A total of 20 marks will be taken from the secondary and the higher secondary results while of the 80 marks, 50 will be in written and 30 in multiple choice tests, according to the result of the meeting.

The date for the admission test will be made public after publishing results of the higher secondary evaluation. The examination most probably to be held in January, said a teacher who was present at the meeting.

The decision will be made final after a meeting of the university’s academic council, according to the teacher.
